• Lots of very basic ideas in the numeracy strategy.

• Counting objects and people. Matching one to one. Giving out milk and snacks.
• Catching numbered fish with magnets or velcro. Spiders catching bugs.
• Counting to time activities. e.g. tidying up, dressing and undressing, coming and sitting down.
• Counting people who are present, or ready.
• Matching objects or pictures to numbers.
• Matching numbers to objects and pictures.
• Lotto games
• Pairs, and snap, with numbers.
• Dice games, snakes and ladders, race games.
• Throw dice, jump the right number of jumps.
